The Process
Balayage FAQs
How long does a balayage appointment take?
Most balayage appointments take between two and four hours depending on your hair length, thickness and starting colour. Thick or very long hair sits at the upper end, and a first visit usually takes longer than a refresh because we build the placement from scratch.
How often will I need to refresh my balayage?
Most clients return every three to four months. Because the colour is concentrated through the mid-lengths and ends, regrowth stays soft rather than forming a hard line. A quick toner or gloss in between keeps the shade fresh at a fraction of the cost of a full appointment.
Does balayage work on dark or previously coloured hair?
Yes. Dark bases can achieve beautiful caramel and bronde results, though very dark or previously box-dyed hair may need more than one session to lift safely. We assess your colour history in the consultation and give you an honest plan before anything is mixed.
How much does balayage cost?
The price depends on your hair length, thickness and starting point, which is why we quote after a free online consultation rather than advertising a vague starting price. Send us a photo of your hair and we will give you an accurate quote before you book.
