What is grey blending?

Grey blending uses highlights, lowlights and toning techniques to weave your natural greys into your coloured hair, softening the contrast rather than hiding it. The greys become part of the design: dimension instead of regrowth.

The result: as your hair grows, there's no harsh line. Appointments stretch further apart, and your colour looks intentional at every stage.

Who is it for?

Grey blending suits anyone who's noticing more greys but isn't ready for full coverage, or anyone who wants to transition towards their natural grey over time without an awkward grow-out phase.

It works across bases: on darker hair we often use fine highlights and a smoky toner; on lighter hair, greys can blend almost invisibly into a blonde or silver palette.

What to expect at the appointment

Every grey blending service at our private Quedgeley salon starts with a proper consultation: how much grey you have, where it sits, your base colour and how much maintenance you want. From there we design a bespoke placement, typically two to three hours in the chair, then a much lower-maintenance routine than traditional coverage.
